Dr. Jaehong Kim was born in Seoul, Korea in 1971. Prior to coming to the US, he attended Seoul National University where he obtained both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in environmental engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. He then joined the faculty of environmental engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He is interested in various subjects related to physicochemical and photochemical processes involved with water treatment. He likes to spend his leisure time with his two daughters, Seoyoun and Seorin, taking digital photographs, and playing tennis.
